Summer Dream was the best hotel we could ask for. It was extremely modern, great view, and the town of Rethymno has a wonderful downtown area. If you go, I recommend Achinos, I believe it is spelled. The best food we had in Greece. Summer dream is also located next to many markets including SKYNKA, which is walking distance. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was the best part of our trip in Crete.

Trouble connecting with staff - heating/air not working, kitchen sink leaking. Emails/texts on Expedia and WhatsApp not returned. Beautiful room though and premises - modern with all you need - breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of variety. Was there off season just as the area is readying for Spring. Will conclude that the communication issues were due to the early season timing.

A Wonderful Stay at Summer Dream

Had a 5 night stay at Summer Dream. We were two families - and each with 1 Room Deluxe Apartment. The apartment was surprisngly large and comfortable and the AC worked perfectly.Facilities seemed quite new and well maintained. I will note that I was a little taken aback by how the immediate area OUTSIDE the hotel looked, but, it did not really take area the stay. Hotel located close to beach and a (40-45 minute) walking distance to the Old City. The pool area is large and there is not need to scramble for sunchairs. Also, there is a childrens' pool that came in very handy as we were travelling with a 2 year old.There is a nice supermarket next door. The staff was perhaps the most professional and friendly staff that I have encountered and that was a truly nice addition to the stay. Special thanks goes to Nitsa - who is always 'on things' to make certain that things are going well. The staff in the breakfast are (esp. Katerina - I think...) was also very pleasant and could not do enough for us. The food selection was good-and I appreciated their sensitivity to the needs of gluten-free individuals. One thing that could be improved is that I got the sense that sometimes some foodstuffs not consumed were put out again (desserts, rolls). Also, the music in bar area is nice-as is the woman working there - but it's on all day until midnight-a bit too much. Particulalry as not many guests seemed to partake of the bar area - and the music is clearly heard in rooms - until very late.

Nice hotel close to the beach

We would recommend summer dream hotel very highly, the rooms were great and they were cleaned daily, the staff were all very nice the pool was clean and the pool bar was close by for drinks and snacks, the beach was just 2 minutes away and had beds for hire, the restaurants nearby served good food we ate out every night for two weeks and only had one bad meal which was down at the old port, all in all a very laid back relaxing hotel, family friendly and we would certainly go back again

Nearly no parkingspace

Although it is written parking is possible there was only a regret that the parkingspace is full. There were one or two places at the pedestrianway in front of the hotel, but because of many apartments it is nearly not possible to park there. Also around very difficult. I had to walk 5 minutes and had there no regular parkingspace. Yes, it was Karneval, but I sure sommertime is the same problem.

Super 3-Sterne Hotel, besser als einige 4-Sterne Hotels in denen ich schon war. Die Zimmer sind topmodern (smart-room) und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und auch abwechslungsreich. Die Poolbar ist ebenfalls super, hin und wieder bekommt man einen Raki oder ähnliches von den Barkeepern ausgegeben :). Das gesamte Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr toll finde ich auch, dass sich das Hotel (vorallem die schwedische Barkeeperin) um Strassenkatzen kümmert, von den es in Rethimno sehr viele gibt. Direkt neben dem Hotel ist ein grosser Supermarkt und auch der Strand und zahlreiche Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Der einzige kleine Makel ist, dass die Zimmer, die den Balkon in Richtung der Strasse haben, morgens etwas laut sind. Mit Ohrenstöpseln aber ok. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Veldig hyggelige og behjelpelige ansatte. Følte oss veldig godt ivaretatt. Vi fikk et nyoppusset rom som var veldig fint. Ligger et minutt fra stranda, det er supermarked, apotek og flere restauranter rett i nærheten. Ca 30 min å gå inn til old roen. Det eneste som trakk ned var frokosten. Vi hadde ikke bestilt det på forhånd, men prøvde en dag. Juicen smakte veldig rart (ikke fersk) og baconet var mer kokt enn stekt.

Sitio genial, necesita un poco de renovación pero relacion calidad/precio es perfecto. El personal de recepción y el personal del bar piscina encantadores. Por poner alguna pega la comida del bar piscina es un poco lenta pero por todo lo demas perfecto. Repetiríamos sin ninguna duda.

Bien situado, con la playa a 75 metros y un supermercado grande al lado del hotel. La zona de la playa dónde esta situado cuenta con gran variedad de restaurantes. El hotel esta muy cuidado y el personal del mismo es de un trato excepcional, atento a cualquier necesidad que tengas, valga como ejemplo que el último día teníamos que dejar el hotel a las 3 de la mañana para coger el vuelo de vuelta y os sorprendieron con el bonito detalle de prepararnos una cesta de desayuno muy completa para el viaje. La zona de la piscina es agradable y cuenta con un completo bar atendido de nuevo por personal agradabilísimo El desayuno es muy variado y completo. Close to amenities

Good size apartment overlooking pool area. Close to beach and amenities, approx 20 min walk into town, no need to get a taxi. Try Kai restaurant opposite the beach walking into Rethymon; it is delicious and beautifully presented; compliments to the chef! Reception staff helpful, sorted out an issue with shuttle service.

Great little gem! Fantastic value for a 2 bedroom!

Nitsa at the front desk met us with a cheerful smile and welcome and she was a great help booking tours for us too! The hotel is older but nicely kept up and very very clean. It's so convenient to have a kitchenette and the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms are quite spacious for an apart-hotel. It was very nice to have individually controlled air conditioning in each bedroom so everyone could set their own comfortable sleeping temperature. There's a supermarket right next door too so that's very handy!

Spacious, peaceful apartment close to the beach

Peaceful and quite resort set off from the main road and a short walk to the beach. The complex has it's own pool including a small children's pool, the sun loungers have all been neatly fitted in around the edge of the pool. The rooms are spacious and quiet, inside ours we had a separate living area with two sofa beds and a bedroom with a double bed. Both areas had air conditioning units (which is included), flat screen tvs and patio doors with shutters leading on a patio area with a table and a dryer. Plenty of storage in the bedroom with hangers in the wardrobe and a free safe. The kitchen area was fully equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, there was a halogen hob, microwave oven and fridge with a freezer compartment. They also provided washing up liquid and a brush. Inside the bathroom there was a bathtub with shower and unbelievably a washing machine. All the staff were lovely and friendly, the hotel owner waited up for us after arriving late and we were greeted to a lovely decorated bed for our anniversary. The room is cleaned 6 days and kept nice and tidy. We had a view of the pool from our patio. The hotel is 25 min walk from the main town or there are buses that go along the main road at the front. A peaceful and relaxing location to enjoy a nice break in the sun. There are a few tavernas near by and 1 plus 1 you can get 7% off with a card from reception.

Όμορφες και ξεκούραστες οικογενειακές διακοπές!!!

Πεντακάθαρο(καθημερινή καθαριότητα, άνετο δωμάτιο, ιδανικό για οικογένεια με δύο παιδιά. Τα στρώματα από όλα τα κρεβάτια είναι τέλεια, το προσωπικό άψογο και η τοποθεσία λίγα μέτρα από την θάλασσα.
