"The only saving grace of this hotel is the location; it is literally steps away from the seaside. I was in Brighton for a conference and everywhere else was fully booked, so I didn't have much choice. Having read the reviews beforehand, I was already skeptical, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed my fears. I certainly won't be back. ​While the room was clean, it was freezing because the heating wasn't working. Since there are no phones in the rooms, I had to walk all the way to reception to complain. I was told they had "switched off" the heating and was offered a mini electric heater instead. For the price they charge per night, this is unacceptable. Furthermore, the room layout felt "off"—the floor had a noticeable dip/slope and wasn't level. I didn't try the breakfast, but I’m glad I didn’t; walking past the restaurant counter, the food did not look nice at all. Only stay here if you are desperate."

"Staff were exceptional at this hotel, it's a bit old and could do with some minimal updates, but service, friendliness, convenience and location are unbeatable, nice sized room fofr x 3 people too. I would stay here again"

"What I like: Both room and bathroom is very large and spacious. Great location, literally a 3 minute walk to the beach that can be seen from the balcony, A nice balcony to sit outside at night, enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. Within walking distance to train station, Hove and Brighton beach, grocery stores, hotels and cafes. Nice helpful staff. What I didn’t like: Hallway smelled of cigarette smoke and so did the pillows."

"The hotel was a shambles I was moved to 3 different rooms due to broken TV with no remote, the next room had no curtains in the bathroom looking out onto the street. The last room I saw had a shower that didn't work. I was then moved to another hotel in the same company, This was better but barely, dirty hallways stained carpets and the Foyer smelt like sewage."

"What a great location for the pier, beach and the lanes. Walkable from the train station to get your bearings. I did feel the pool tiles were slippery under foot when wet so had to walk very slowly. Pool and showers where great and the Welsh chap on gym was very friendly and helpful. The lounge had awesome views which we used several times while staying. Our double king size room was great for my friend and myself. Thanks"
