"We treated ourselves to a weekend at The Swan after several day trips to Southwold from the Midlands over the years.
Following a very welcoming check-in at reception we stayed in a nicely appointed Garden Room set around a small garden, each with outside space and a bistro table and chairs - a welcome addition in the late June heatwave. The décor and fixtures were traditional but with a modern twist. Perhaps slight signs of wear and tear (stained fabric headboard and water-blown wooden sills in the bathroom) which I'm sure will be addressed.
Breakfast was cooked to order with a typical menu and very nice but we found the diner menu offered a limited range.
The car park seemed large enough to cope with demand but be warned the seagulls rule the roost and a clean car will not remain clean for long!
Overall a fabulous break, attentive staff in a lovely location."
