"The 1661 Resort is hands down my favorite place to stay on Block Island. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It's also far enough from the downtown bars and crowds that you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being just a short walk or bike ride away from everything. "Very clean, well kept property. Convenient parking right outside the door. Good location to explore the area. Felt safe and secure. Air conditioning kept the room very comfortable. For the price, breakfast options would have been a nice addition. Also, a luggage rack in the room."

"Very clean, quiet, and friendly. Staff was very welcoming, escorting us to our room and explaining everything. View of Wood River and pond from our room was fantastic. We saw a variety of birds and wildlife from our patio. We have stayed at the Stagecoach House Inn several times and plan to stay there again."
