"Everything was as expected. Staff informed me upon check in that Michigan Tech parents are supposed to receive a 10% discount per an agreement with the university. First time hearing this in five years of visits to Houghton. Still havent received the email receipt so not sure i got it this time either. She apologized and gave me an "upgrade" plus a discount. Not sure what that entails as we have not seen billing yet. Not a deal breaker, but she informed me the discount has been purposely hidden by management."

"They were very accommodating for my late arrival. The room was very clean and had everything we needed! We have stayed there several times during my son's attendance at Tech."

"We were in room 423 it was very windy which wasn’t the hotels fault but all night all we heard was the flag right outside our room flapping and banging all night. The other issue was the staff kept calling our room while we were trying to rest after a very stressful weekend. Normally it’s so quiet there. The breakfast was kind of yucky on Saturday the bacon was barely cooked, the eggs were dry and over done… not the usual."

"The kitchen had a few pots but only 1 small pan. It had cookie sheet and pizza pan. It had foil and plastic wrap. It had a regular coffee pot with filters and Folgers coffee. There was stevia and creamer. There was salt and pepper, Olive oil and nonstick spray. There was Laundry detergent and dryer sheets. "

"Location was great. It was smaller than expected and definitely cramped for for two adults and two children. The fold-out couch went right to the bed and there was no space to move around once the fold-out couch was opened into a bed. There was some dust and fuzzies under the couch, but otherwise was clean. "
