"We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Redwood National Park, and it was a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. "The hotel is very old. Wherever you touch is about to break… the refrigerator froze all our food, the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work. They let pets in rooms, and dog pee was next to our room, and the room itself was stinky. TV didn’t work… The breakfast is cereals, oatmeal, yogurt and apples."

"The room was ok but the table and furniture were sticky. The bed was clean and confortable. The location was convenient and fairly quiet. However, we experienced a power outage during our stay, and the front desk staff was not particularly welcoming or friendly."

"Beautiful home, well maintained, and a great experience. We felt at home and lucky to experience staying somewhere with so much character. It really feels like you’re in a different time. The breakfast was delicious and room was clean and comfortable. One slight negative was the water for the shower was temperamental…but everything else was perfect!"

"Breakfast was less than amazing. Sparse to our taste. Entire property is showing its age. We understand it's under new ownership so perhaps it will be spruced up as it deserves to be. Great location- walking distance to historical downtown and next door to the Hadley Garden. Amenity in bathroom included a bottle of body wash and one tiny bar of soap. Bed was very high and it was difficult to climb into for a short guest without help."

"This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting."

"Beautiful old lodge and a nice place to stay for one night. The surroundings are lovely, and we enjoyed our stay. One suggestion would be to make sure the bathroom curtains are cleaned, as they could use some attention."
