"I am from the Soo and know the area and the lodging choices. We were traveling with 2 Golden Retrievers, and if they are not welcome, we are not welcome! The Last Resort is a GREAT place! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and the cutest little bait shop. I actually purchased a few great souvenirs; they sell the cutest fishing t-shirts. I bought a t-shirt for everyone I know, the Ts were $9.95! There is plenty of grass for walking your dog. We will be staying there again~~"

"The staff was super friendly, the neighborhood was good, lots of eateries close by, The grounds are clean, well maintained, but aging. The breakfast and coffee bar was most excellent. We were all happy."

"They have maintained this old motel well. We had a nice stay. Had to drive 50 miles to eat breakfast which was very good."

"The staff was great and overall in general, the place was nice. Our room smelled very heavily of smoke which we’re not smokers, the air conditioner filter was caked with I don’t know dust, and the carpet felt damp and had a lot of stains. All that being said, I feel those are easy fixes and the customer service was great. It was also great to be able to get a coffee to go in the morning."
