"The room was large but there was an odd smell when you came in the room. The shower had been redone and looked fabulous. The shower head had a water saver installed some the pressure was lacking, took 3 times as long to shower. Did do a load of laundry while staying. Didn't check out the pool."

"I’ve stayed at this property many times. It’s extremely aesthetically appealing and the staff are super friendly but that’s as far as it goes. It’s nothing really special about or comes with the hotel. Basic amenities, no free breakfast, or no pool. And for the price you pay, you'd think….but nope, nothing. "Great location! Easy access to the interstate and next door to Surge Entertainment Complex. Friendly staff, snacks for purchase in the lobby, and delicious free morning coffee with half & half and creamers. Free bottled water at check-in. Breakfast buffet was $15 (it was decent). "I didn’t like the air conditioning situation."

"Very disappointed with my stay at Americas Best Inn in Bastrop. My room had rust around the sink and bathtub drains, buildup on the shower head, and hair left in the tub. The front desk showed me four other rooms, but every one had the same issues. This wasn’t a one-room problem—it appeared to be a property-wide cleanliness and maintenance issue. Guests deserve better."

"The property was well maintained, and my room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, and the overall experience was positive. My only complaint was that the air conditioning unit was quite loud, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying there again."

"Old property, needs updated throughout. I was expecting better by the pics online. Bed was fine, shower leaked lots of water on the floor every time we used it. Breakfast was not great. Not a nice location either. Wouldn’t stay here again. Would look for something nicer for the same price."

"The elevator was not working and when talked to the staff it had been down for quite awhile. We had 3 rooms and not nearly enough towels per room. The staff especially night shift were not very helpful at all. One rooms shower was really in bad shape. And kids would not even use it"

Noise started early in the morning with no warning or concern from the staff. Room was missing minimal amenities including facial tissue, no body wash in the shower, No thermostat for the AC so you have to get up in the night to turn it on and off depending on temperature you want.
