"Love the hotel location and views of Lake Superior. Appreciate the outdoor seating to take advantage of the great views. Staff was friendly and helpful... hard to find anything negative to say. I have a mild dust allergy and can always tell when a hotel property doesn't routinely vacuum / clean rooms.... and I can say that my sleep was undisturbed by allergies. They clearly do a great job in the cleanliness category."

"The room was spotless and well appointed. The sheets on the beds are microfiber and very uncomfortable. Natural fiber would be much better. The heating system is central for the entire building so we were too warm and unable to adjust to our comfort level. I do however recommend this place & will be staying again. It’s very conveniently located."

"I rarely post reviews. I post maybe one review a year. I do so only when one of two things happens. 1) A business pi$$es me off so bad that I need to vent to recover from their gross incompetence. Or 2) a business far exceeds my expectations. #2 applies with the Roam Inn. I had seen several recommendations on the Upper Peninsula Travel Facebook page and we wanted to spend one night in Munising on our tour of the U.P., so I decided to book a night. Everything was to my expectations except for two things that exceeded expectations. First, the room was meticulously clean, as if a deep clean and detailing had been done to the 2 rooms and bathroom in the suite. Second, my old body rarely gets a good night’s sleep away from my luxurious bed at home. I expect to wake up with some stiffness when sleeping elsewhere. When I got in bed, my back was still sore from the previous night in a different hotel. But when I woke up the next morning, no soreness! The Roam Inn will be our go-to lodging in the area and I’ll highly recommend it to everyone."

"We booked two nights at Explorer Munising, and after reading some of the reviews, it made me a little worried of how our stay would end. But this place is absolutely AMAZING! THE LOCATION IS 10/10 the property is absolutely beautiful! To the people who say there isn’t instructions for check-in, they make the door access extremely easy, you don’t park across the street from the cabin. It’s literally 10 feet from your front door where you park. When people say it’s unsafe I’m assuming they’re new to visiting Michigan’s upper Peninsula, because no matter where you go it’s an adventure and there’s always a risk with that adventure! The kitchen inside of the cabins had everything you need for a stay. It has a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine and a combo washer/dryer. Theres a small couch, a chair table and a large counter space for food, anything. Noise from the road? NONE from inside the cabins - yes you hear it if you’re sitting outside but WHO CARES! The smokeless fire pits outside of the cabins are not too close, you just do not stuff them like you do in your backyard (the fire to end our night was honestly so relaxing and the sky almost looked fake) The cleaning fee is absolutely affordable and completely understanding, you’re not walking into a hotel you’re walking into your own private place. You treat him like you’re home. You take your trash out when you leave and you lock the door. Don’t be lazy, these places don’t last when you have negative reviews!"
