Nice room, old hotel.
A nice little room for the night and it served our purpose well.
This hotel was not a pleasure to stay at, it was extremely uncomfortable from the smell, the noise, bedding and towels. Also the windows were unsafe, shattered barely together still. Bed was the most uncomfortable, the bedding was so rough and made my skin itch it was almost impossible to sleep in. Price is much too high for the value of this stay. I recommend planning in advance so you don’t get stuck staying here for more than what nicer places charge.

Good but not what was expected for price
Check in and out fast an easy, nice customer service, ac works great, excellent privacy. Really clean, smells good even in the smoking rooms… Just Water takes about 10-15min to get hot. Little decoration wouldn’t mind, probably newer furniture and better pillows, and blanket, sheets are great quality, it’s safe but I feel new doors wouldn’t hurt, feels safe but I wouldn’t take my kids.. Feel little over priced.

Not worth the price
Extremely overpriced for the condition it was in. The room had no modern appliances. The fan provided more cool air than the ac unit. Bathroom was in need of a remodel or a very good cleaning at the least. Not sure if sheets had been changed prior to my arrival because there was a very long and dark hair on my pillow when I pulled back the sheets. It’s ok for a place to sleep, but not at the price I paid just because it’s in a tourist town.
Location is good, near Ruidoso Village. Is an old building but at least should be neatly clean, with better bed linens and towels. Is expensive for what you received. I stayed because was the only available room in town.
I can not believe you would even put a motel Of that statue on your listings. Broken windows and a gas wall heater. Really. It was an embarrassment for us to even stay in a motel. Shame on Expedia to even sell us on the motel. I will no longer use your website. There’s a lot of other apps that we can use instead of you.
The owner was very nice and courteous upon check in. However the facilities are horrible, the rooms smell like mildew. The foundation is so bad that the bath room door would not shut. I did book very last minute and it was New Year’s Eve, but I would have rather kept my $150 and slept in my truck. Save your money and don’t go here. This place needs to be demolished!
When we finally got to the room the room was not clean first pubic hairs all through the tub went to office to ask for some cleaning supplies managers very rude the heat barely works just a very terrible stay ask for our money back but he had a sign up said no refunds

Very old and run down hotel. The staff is friendly and the room was clean, but the front door was hard to open and the bathroom door wouldnt shut because the door and/or the floor is warped. The bathtub and sink are stained and chipped. Definitely over priced. Unfortunatley it was one of the only hotels with available rooms that night. We will plan further ahead and choose a better hotel next time.

This motel makes Motel 6 look like Waldorf Astoria. The bed was horrible! We did not stay the night. Could not sleep.
Disapointed with Expedia, 1st reservation was never confirmed tgey found us a room which was not worth tge money at all, hard beds, barely any heat and cold water showers terrible.
This hotel was a terrible place to stay. You can tell that this place has not been updated in a very long time and not well taken care of. The bathroom had rust and mold growing in it. The bedroom itself had pieces of furinature that were broken and applicences that barely worked. The mattress was very hard and the sheets had stains on them. The room also had a divider door to the next room and all that was blocking the other person from coming in was a night stand. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody it was definetly not worth the money that was spent. I will definetly be picking a diffferent hotel for future visits.

Cheerful clerk
Clean. Got reservation late. Cheerful. Would stay again
I stayed out of necessity and there were no other hotels available due to the races in town. Bed might as well have been something out of the Flinstones, hard as a rock! My husband couldn't drive me and our infant daughter home his back hurt so bad. I couldn't even give my daughter a bath because there were hairs in the bathtub and the whole bathroom was filthy and I saw black mold around the tub as well. The area is tucked away but not in a nice mountain side retreat kind of way. In a sketchy, run down kind of way. And the key to get in the room, an actual key- no card entry. The owners didn't ask for any identification or card for incidentals which told me all I needed to know about the sketchiness of this hotel. Again, I stayed because I had no other options for the night although I debated sleeping in the car, however I couldn't subject my daughter to sleeping the night in a car seat, we needed a place for her to sleep in her pack n play. The only plus is the bubble TV worked and had decent channels. Owner has a HUGE sign in the lobby that said no refunds so I wasn't about to begin a battle for a refund based on reviews that already show he is a hot head. Upon arriving home, we found BED BUGS in my daughter's diaper bag! I didn't see them anywhere else but I had to disinfect everything else just in case, that's where I draw the line and complain. When I pulled the covers back the non-fitted sheet on the mattress revealed an ancient bed FULL of holes they must live in.
Upon trying to check in the owner was in an argument with a customer in front of the "lobby". They were loud and it was about the condition of the room. I should have known then, but there was nowhere else to go. Checking into the room was difficult, he couldn't find my reservation and had to write on a scratch piece of paper the information from my phone.
When we went into the room, there were holes in the bathroom and closet doors, hair on all of the sheets and comforter that looks as if it had been there for weeks. The room had a muggy Oder and the "VIEW" out the window was of a fenced in back yard with trash and ladders going up the side of he "lodge".
There were little black bugs in the bath tub and that was the last straw. We left the key and did not stay the two nights we had booked. We slept in our truck the first night until we were able to find an actual place the next day.
I wouldn't recommend this "lodge" to my worst enemy. If I hadn't heard the owner telling the previous customer that she would have to fight him in court for a refund, I would have attempted to demand one myself.
It is my sincere recommendation that Expedia remove this "lodge" from the search results, as myself and my partner have lost all faith in the site as of now.

The hotel is a little old but the owner was very friendly, very nice to talk to
Our room had an awful odor that we could not get rid of with air freshener. The peep hole in the door was a hole in the door! I used a sanitary wipe on the light switch in the bathroom and you should have seen the dirt that came off.
Hotel should be closed building for sale unkept on outside, inside dirty and in need of maintenance every where, mold in bathroom, dead bugs in bedding.Take off your list. We spent a miserable night.
