"Great three night stay. Was obviously a former Travelodge, so spacious rooms and good facilities. Would have liked a power socket nearer the bed for recharging iPad, phone etc. so they could be used as clocks. Great way of providing breakfast - help-yourself cereal/milk/fruit juice/bread to toast/butter/marmalade etc. Good parking, and quiet surroundings. Convenient for Rutland Water and Oakham."

"Beautiful location in gorgeous grounds with fabulous views of Rutland Water. We had a junior "suite" (actually one room, not separate bedroom and living area) with balcony. It was clean, comfortable and spacious although could do with more lighting (the room was dark despite glorious sunny May weather). The lift wasn't working throughout our stay which didn't bother us but would be problematic for anyone with disabilities or mobility problems. We hated the way you have to step into a pitch black lobby to access the bedroom and the light on a sensor doesn't come on until you are half way across the lobby (take a torch). Same when leaving your bedroom to exit the hotel. Breakfast was very average, we felt, all self-service and feels mass produced, coffee machines producing indifferent "coffee" but no decaf option. We would stay again for the location, but for the price (around £350 per night) we felt there could be improvements"

"Still a new hotel- very clean. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent and parking is available too. The lifts are abit slow as theres 9 floors but as I was on floor 2 i was more than happy to take the stairs to get my steps in. My kids loves the hotel and the shopping mall is literally opposite the road with every shops you could find. I would recommend it if you plan to go to Leicester. This is my second visit but definitely better this time round."

"The room was excellent, comfortable and everything you would need. The hotel is within the Uni campus and a short drive into thectown centre. The spa facilities were excellent we enjoyed the steam room, sauna, pool and jacuzzi. The changing rooms are well equipped. Great relaxing stay. "

"Limited on site parking so plan ahead. Also during match days the hotel restaurant was overwhelmed and service did suffer."
