"The Royal Hotel is a convenient place to stay. The room is adequate but the Aircon didn’t work and the the shared bathrooms need an upgrade and clean. There are some opportunities for improvement."

"Fairly dirty room. A si gel sheet covered the mattress and it was an old hard mattress. The door to the outside area was only secured with a flimsy slide bolt that seemed to be made from aluminium. There were a few small cockroaches under the kettle base. The shower was a positive except they when you opened the shower door the shower head was actually above the shower head and the door opened to the shower head side as you could only open it inwards. "Always an easy stay."

"Lovely spa, clean as a whistle, comfy beds, great continental breaky and staff were so accomodating!"

"I have stayed here a few times, but this time the a/c was making a loud clicking/knocking noise all through the night meaninf i had to turn it off to even attempt to sleep, which was hard due to noise coming from outside and the heat making sleep basically impossible, AND i also had a roach run by when i was eating dinner on the desk, which was kind of disgusting, nothing on the staff as they were lovely and sometimes things just happen but this was easily my worst stay here by far."

"Was perfect for 6 of us on a boys weekend"

"Fair pricing and very friendly staff"

"Great stay"

"Cheap and cheerful hotel, self check in/out, amazing location parking onsite close to Olympic park. A bit tired but a beautiful old hotel and clean/comfortable stay. We would visit again."

"Room was pretty good, best we've stayed in for a pub room. Just more milk wouldve been nicer instead of very little little tub be prepared to buy milk . Had only two water bottles in bar fridge but it's pretty good for one night stay, staff were friendly. We didn't have food this time there but next time we will was cheap menu daily specials etc."

"The staff was extremely helpful!"

"Staff were occasionally hard to understand due to the language barrier and their knowledge was average when asked questions, frequently got different responses from different staff. The parking spaces are limited and can be a tight squeeze unless you get one early. We checked in late and there were buckets and tradie tools spread throughout the carpark. The pool was unavailable. The room was quite dusty and outdated (with the exception of the bathroom which was upgraded). We had to use broken...
