"Great hotel right on beach"

"Beautiful room, I bought this as an early Xmas present for my parents who loved the building, the history and location. The staff were brilliant and breakfast very good. Highly recommend "

Both evenings we dined in the bar, which has an extremely limited menu. If we had one complaint that would probably be the one. The staff was extremely accommodating."

"The George hotel in Rye offers a charming stay with a central location and helpful staff. The comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast were definite highlights. Its bar is also great, boasting a fantastic atmosphere. However, our (entry level) room was a little on the small side. Despite the cozy quarters, the hotel provides a very pleasant and enjoyable experience."
