"Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!"

"No complaints w the room other than we were not aware we’d be down in a basement room that looked out to a stairwell. Also be aware, if you ask for the shuttle to the train, and their shuttle isn’t available… you won’t pay the reasonable 10 Francs… you’re riding a taxi that will charge much more 😡 (even though the hotel tells you otherwise)"

"We had a wonderful stay. The wine tasting was very enjoyable. Hospitality was great."

"La literie n’était pas de bonne qualité sur un des 2 lits de la chambre. Nous avons payé très chère pour cet équipement qui est essentiel dans un hôtel. Nous ne reviendrons pas"
