The down sides are both the fact that in order to go to Ella you must take a tuktuk. "Our family of 5 arrived at the villa at 630pm tired and hoping for a good night rest. Pressed the bell and knocked on the door before someone came down from the villa. Realised they werent aware there is a booking for the night's stay! We had to wait for a good one hour before that poor caretaker sort out the stay wt the owner for our booking and then cleaned the rooms. No service recovery and no apologies by the owner at all. Utterly disappointed! "

"One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The host was very welcoming and it was a pleasure getting to know him and talk about his country. We were greeted with tea and biscuits on their balcony which has jaw dropping views! You are right in the middle of nature with the mountains surrounding you get easy to get into the centre of town. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a lovely balcony and with the same wonderful view. We had a delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast as well. Would highly recommend! "
