"The Delta King provided a delightful alternative to a sterile hotel environment. It is an old converted river ship with gorgeous woodwork and features like a pull-chain toilet and 2 shower knobs to adjust hot and cold with good water pressure. The restaurant was good and the staff extremely attentive, friendly and interactive. Our room, while small, was clean and more than adequate with a great view of the river. "A little gem of a stay in the historic poverty ridge district. The penthouse is converted attic space that sleeps four easily. There is coffee tea and water all day and a simple continental breakfast. historic home, but we had plenty of hot water for showers. Short a few bathroom towels for our stated number of guests, sure we could have asked for more but we were just here for one night. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Glad to have found this gem. "

"We stay at The Sterling once a year. This may be the last time we do so. The main issue was the shower/tub. The main shower head would only dispense cold water. We had to use the small body shower head to clean. The water would not drain from the tub. We had multiple people staying in our room. After 2 showers, we had half a tub full of dirty water so the rest of our guests were unable to shower. The volume on the remote for the tv also did not work. "It is a smaller hotel. There are homeless people outside everywhere and you’re in the same parking lot as a gas station. Basically the location is actually good for downtown. It’s very very close like 1 mile our window in our room did not shut and lock so that was a concern of mine, but fortunately nothing happened. "

"This motel isn't located in a nice area. There were homeless people sleeping in the parking area and roaches in our room. Also the continental breakfast was not very plentiful. The motel staff did their best though. Our room was clean with the exception of the roaches. The pool was quiet and restful. We chose this motel for its value compared to the expensive motels down the block so we got what we paid for."
