Hotel is right on the beach. The location is very good. A little outdated but fine. The pool is indoor, the spa was ok, I had a good massage. We don’t eat dinner there, but lunch was very good.

Hotel deserves its five star rating. Rooms are really attractive, location is right on the beach, staff are friendly and efficient. The sea water swimming pool is a real bonus. We loved drinks on the terrace at sunset.

Lovely Historic Hotel

This is a majestic old (but updated) hotel with excellent service. They gave us a tour of the facility and explained all the available services. The whirlpool, sauna, and steam room were all included in the price of the room. They even upgraded our room to ocean view! What incredible service at an incredible hotel.

Really nice, maybe 4.5 rather than 5 stars

Impressive building, right on the seafront, nice character. Really lovely staff and service. Nice decor in the rooms, furnished to a high standard, big beds, nice linen and many pillows! We were kindly upgraded (bc Gold Hotels.com member?) to a sea view room, which was lovely. Despite the rain getting in and soaking the carpet by the French windows (just an upkeep issue). The spa is really nice, vaulted ceilings, impressive reception area that you pass through. Good sauna and steam room. Not sure about the salt room, wasn't very warm? Pool area could do with a bit of TLC, starting to show wear and tear. There was some brown slime on the edge of the seats in the hammam 😬. Decent bar area with good cocktail selection and snacks. You pay for the location, prestige and building, but it's nice and the reception and spa staff were really lovely.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely location. The beach is easily accessible and the terrace is lovely. The standard room was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen. AC not particularly effective.

Gorgeous hotel on the waterfront - the most impressive in Saint Jean de Luz, with a nice (simple) spa. The staff are the highlight - effortlessly efficient & totally capable - from the (handsome) door men to the amazing receptionist, capable maids & talented masseuse. The whole hotel was immaculately presented, including the room. My only disappointment was that the room was far too hot without the window open, and much too noisy with it open. So I didn’t sleep as well as I could have. This was a city facing room.

Not a Thalasso hotel. Was better few years ago

They advise as Thalasso, but it is not sea water. It is a pool with jets. The Spa area had better days… the Himalaya salt sauna and ice fountain not working. The pool water a bit cold, few places to rest and bad maintenance In the rooms the pillows wore terrible, the tower rack not working in hole hotel ( so our swimming clothes and towels dont dry) and they turn of the air conditioner at night, just leave the fan, so in October I couldn’t sleep I’ve stayed in this hotel before, and was much better.

Séjour idyllique avec vue imprenable

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Saint-Jean-de-Luz ! L’emplacement de l’hôtel est parfait, avec une vue splendide sur les plages. La chambre était spacieuse, décorée avec goût, et mention spéciale pour les rideaux et stores occultants : nous avons dormi comme des bébés ! Tout était très agréable et soigné. Seul petit bémol : le self-parking, qui pourrait être amélioré pour être plus pratique. Mais cela n’a en rien gâché notre séjour, que nous avons adoré.
