"Good hotel in the middle of town but needs a few bits of maintenance (e.g. leaking shower doors) and a few more members of staff.
The restaurant was good with reasonbably priced meals although the chef needs to tone down the use of olive oil on the fish dish as it was swimming in it, and also learn the difference between saignant and bien cuit as my saignant steak was almost trop cuit! The main issue was the breakfast as a party of 40 Dutch tourists decended on the restaurant before checking out at 0900. When the few other guests arrived there were no clean tables and no food left. Understandable but what was incredible was that the young wonan in charge of breakfast was on heer own and overwhelmed. To her credit, once I'd alerted the lone receptionist to this she came and pitched in, as did the guests, setting tables etc. but that was areal failur of management.
Why 5* then? Because it has potential and was perfect for our overnight stay with secure parking and (eventually) a great breakfast. If i'd been there for a week I'd probably have dropped it a star or two."
"Very nice hotel in central location. Restaurant is high quality with a good menu offering (oysters were excellent). Friendly staff. Bar closes early."
"This is a budget hotel that punches above its weight. The staff are welcoming, the rooms basic but clean, the location is not at all beautiful, but in a great location for those travelling on A roads and the restaurant attached to it is better than your average chain, the chef is good at what he does and the beer is rather lovely."
"Everything was perfect during our stay at La Libaudiere. The property is peaceful and quiet, in a rural area. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We rented the 'cabane perchee' and it was a great experience, a comfortable place in a big tree. It was very relaxing to stay a few nights there, breakfast was good too. Thank you to the owners for creating a great place like this one."
"Plenty to do if you have time, the cabin was a little cramped, but was comfortable.
You can order croissant & bread at the reception which is delivered the next day ."
"Room ok for one night. Had an evening meal which was ok, the starter and pudding being the better options.
Breakfast was self serve but not much left so limited choice.
Room was comfy enough for one night."
