Character property with large gardens in an area home to many pretty villages. Very little English spoken, other multilingual guests helped out. Good for a stopover en route to Calais. No English TV news channels.
Quite difficult to find, its outside the village and down a track,
Plus points,
Very friendly staff, great location, (if you can find it) really good food.
Down side,
No reception until 5.00 pm!! no room fridge or tea/coffe making services. 14" tv really bad reception, iffy wi fi
Excellent hôtel, cadre sympathique au milieu d’un parc d’accrobranches, il manque juste un mini frigo et de quoi faire un café.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel was cold it had no lounge where you could relax with a drink. Only the dinning room and that lacked a welcome feel. The staff tried her best to oblige with some food no menu and we being the only guest i was not happy. I would not recommend to stay here out of season in all it was expensive for our stay. Will not stay here again.

We had a stopover on our journey to Angers and enjoyed a very pleasant stay in peaceful surroundings. The hotel is charming and quirky; breakfast was tasty.
Nice hotel and staff tried hard to communicate though had little English! Nice location and hotel was comfortable. Limited menu in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Beware with checking in. The hotel didn't open until about 5pm so was hanging around which you don't fancy doing if you've been travelling all day. If in the area we would return though.
Lovely quiet place in the middle of lovely countryside. Very quiet, especially as there was only one other person staying. Our hostess was very welcoming. Our room was small but had a very comfortable bed and nice linen. The evening meal was very limited choice as it was a Monday night and the restaurant was not open to the public. The food was not brilliant. However the breakfast was excellent. Great place for families in the season as lots of land to walk, a children's playground and a zip wire area. Felt it was quite expensive for what we got, especially in comparison with other places we had stayed during our holiday.
A delightful overnight stop en-route from Calais to Spain. Will go back and stay for longer - beautiful location and excellent dinner served by the very friendly owner. Maybe the occasional picture or dried flower arrangement in the fire place of our enormous room would just have added a little warmth to an otherwise perfect stay.
We arrived very late but were phoned with good directions. We had no sat nav and it was well off the beaten track. Hosts were extremely welcoming and the whole place was characterful with modern twists. Ideal stopover
Immediately on arrival, we were made to feel welcome by this pleasant and friendly couple who could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The bedrooms are large, spacious and airy with extremely comfortable beds, spotless bed linen and a good-sized bathroom/shower. The location is stunning with beautiful scenery. One really feels as if one has got back to nature. Theodora, the chef, is a master restaurateur and it shows! She cooks with locally sourced, best quality produce and produces a fine dining experience which is truly outstanding. Didier pairs each course with superb wines which complement the food magnificently. On warm summer evenings, one eats out on the terrace admiring the stunning scenery. What could be more perfect? Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to stay an extra night but it was well worth it just to experience the amazing food one more time. This couple are passionate about what they do and it really shows! Anyone who appreciates good food and wine will adore this place! I can't wait to return and sample more of Theodora's food! Breakfast was also excellent and very good value. A couple of small things with regard to the rooms - a box of tissues, proper glasses (not plastic), a face flannel and some quality toiletries in the bathroom would not cost much to provide and would give the hotel a more upmarket feel.
