"The property is set in a lovely location, which wasn’t an issue obviously. Our problem was, and this maybe a communication issue, but on the Expedia website it said we couldn’t check in until 4pm. No problem. We had also booked an evening meal as we’d of crossed the Channel and driven 300 miles by the time we’d of arrived at the B&B. So when we contacted the owner enroute more out of courtesy than anything else, we were surprised to be told that we couldn’t have an evening meal after 7pm. In...

"The highlight of the stay was the lady who checked us in. She was super helpful and friendly. We were told about the history of the hotel, dinner recommendations, advised about the light show and shown around the hotel. I wish I’d gotten her name to personally thank her. The hotel itself is modern, clean, great location. It has onsite parking with EV charging (not the cheapest around but convenient) lots of great bars and restaurants around. Only a few minutes walk from the old town."
