"This hotel was much better than I expected. I was in town for a special event, the funeral of Charles Norman Shay, so I thought occupancy and rates would be very high. The price of the room was so low I thought the property would be kind of old and clapped out, but it’s actually very nice and recently renovated, and I stayed a second night. "We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. "

"Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in dieser Unterkunft. Clémence ist super freundlich und eine tolle Wirtin. Zum Frühstück gab es stets frisches, selbstgemachrs Brot, selbstgemachter Joghurt sowie auch jeden Tag etwas selbstgemachtes süsses wie Crepes, French Toast, Pancakes,... Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen: Wir hatten in unserem wirklich tollen Zimmer nur eine Badewanne, welche zum Duschen etwas umständlich war. Aber das ist wirklich eine ganz kleine Anmerkung am Rande. Wir würden sofort wieder...

"The hotel was just on the edge of Bayeux old town, a short taxi ride from the center of town. The staff was very courteous and assisted with transportation needs. Highly recommended."
