"What a beautiful hotel, we had a fantastic stay. Exactly what you want in a lovely historic old hotel in a fantastic location in the Adelaide Hills. Beautifully restored, fireplaces galore, great welcoming bar and elegant dining room with fabulous wine room. Couldn’t fault the hotel, our room was so cosy and comfortable, gorgeous large marble bathroom and balcony (Tiers room). Good provisions provided for continental breakfast and snacks, great location, short drive up to Mount lofty lookout...

"Room was fantastic, and bed was super comfy. Only complaint was that we found out we were near where the pub drops its recycling when we were woken up by the sound of glass being placed in the recycling bin at 6am. But I guess someone has to be near that side of the venue, and the stay was otherwise lovely.
Breakfast was great too - way more than I could eat!
Definitely recommend the hotel."

"We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, and the location was excellent with easy access to everything we needed.
The beds were a little too soft for my personal preference, but that's largely a matter of taste. The glass bathroom enclosure is something to be aware of if you're sharing a room—it works fine if you're very comfortable with the person you're travelling with, but it offers limited privacy.

"I telephoned and it was disconnected. I went to reception which was under construction and dangerous.
When I found someone they walked me back to reception through the mess of construction to pay difference of bill and give me a key. Room was clean and was ok for one night. No chairs. Tiny bathroom. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Parking was not the best. Place is well located to cafes and pub."
