"My AA flight JFK to LAX was cancelled on 7th, was re-booked out on 9th.
Arriving early on 8th, around 11am, following an horrendous stay at another hotel which left me shaken.
The front desk team were wonderful, I checked into 1102 within 20mins.
After the previous night's experience, a well-run, welcoming hotel was such a relief.
It is BUSY, but staff & guests were all pleasant and courteous.
The lobby coffee station was great, there's a bar, although I didn't use it. Despite construction next door, it was not audible due to sound proofed windows. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet.
There is not much around the hotel, I walked to a small local grocery store for water.
The microwave in the dining area is handy, ordered food through Uber Eats.
Free breakfast had a couple of hot options, plus the usual cereals, waffles etc. Nothing particularly memorable, had larger choices in other Hilton properties.
Did not use the airport shuttle due to my luggage.
Immediately outside the entrance gets congested, Ubers unable to access.
There's an incline from the street, challenging with heavy luggage.
My only gripe is the price - $407 is high for a Hampton Inn. I appreciate this was last-minute & hotel demand was unusually high; however, a week later - same room- $200!
Hotel is comfortable, staff deserve particular recognition for their professionalism & kindness. Given the circumstances of my arrival, their welcome & swift check-in made a significant difference."
"Great location near the concert venue for the My Chemical Romance performance in NYC. The trains from Manhattan were all full, so we're glad we booked this hotel, so we didn't have issues getting to the concert."
"Pros: Clean room, friendly staff. Russ is great in the nightshift. Excellent parking. Gas station next door. Steakhouse next door.
Cons: Can be confusing to get to and find your room. No elevator."
"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, AC was cold, tv had Roku which was a plus. Door was hard to open and kept getting stuck, but other than that it was a great stay at a great value and would definitely stay again"
