Nice old building in a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of trees and older well-kept homes of various interesting architecture. The hostel is clean, quiet, and comfortable and the residents are friendly. Feels just like home but with strangers. Every morning there is coffee brewing and frying pans so you can cook your own bacon & eggs, with bread and butter for toast; or just pour a bowl of cereal. You can make your own lunch and dinner any time before 10:30 pm. Also, you can't beat the rates!
Location and facilities, a good value for the money. Staff competence and professionalism were, in my experience, poorer.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
I thought it was too good to be true that my companion and I would get a room (to ourselves). We ended up sharing a room with a couple strangers, in true hostel fashion. It was a nice to have breakfast and dinner included, so for the price, it was a nice stay for what we wanted.
The people at this place are so rude. I slept in my car. It was dirty and there were tweakers there. I’d rather stay at the Motel 6 or the Super 8 than this. I’d rather sleep in my car.

Staff and their service could have been better. There was no proper guidance to the room. Heater in the room did not work
Is the most horrible experience I've ever had in traveling in 58 years of my life. The place has the rudest manager. An alcoholic employee went on rants and raise threatening guests in saying he was going to kill the ball. For hours on end. He did not refund my money in the last night and I refuse to stay there because I was literally afraid for my life because of this insane employee. I have reported this facility to the health department which is going to have an inspector come out on Monday
Jon is a total jerk. I was denied my service animal... actual service animal for narcolepsy, mind you. i tried to explain and he just talked over me and said "sue us." honestly... he deserves to get punched in the jaw. I initially thought the conversation ended fair... he said he would refund my money. well when the booking agent contacted them.. they denied the request. there are a lot more things i want to say but cant on here. toal joke
The manager spoke to me like he was Hitler and I was Jewish. REALLY LET ME KNOW I WAS NOT WELCOMED. The other staff at the desk was also VERY rude. They charged my card twice claiming the room was not paid for in the reservation. They charged me for the blankets. There are NO silvery to eat with. A very hostile environment. I guess they treat people like that cause they don't do refunds. I almost walked out to find another place to stay. I feel it was all due to my race the extreme hostile treatment I had. I COULD NOT WAIT TO GET OUT OF THERE!!! Horrible experience. This place should be called HOSTILE, and not hostel.

Accidentally booked the wrong dates. They refused to change it. So I burned $80 and ended up sleeping in my car on the actual dates I needed to stay in Salt Lake.
Recomiendo evitar este alojamiento. Si bien puede que sea de los mas economicos, vale la pena pagar un poco más y evitar TODO lo que sucede ahi adentro.
