We’d booked 3 nights at the hotel but ended up staying for 10 nights as we were massively let down by the villa owner on the day of arrival in Kefalonia (we’d booked 5 months prior). Caroline on reception and owner Spiro couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely family run hotel.

"Our experience in thesmos village was overall great. We really liked the place,our room was spacious for a family of 4 and the terrace had a lovely view to the sea and Kalamos. We also enjoyed the swimming pools. Staff was also friendly."
"Great experience, stayed in the Perla suite. Kind & helpful staff. Room cleaned daily-staff was willing to come back when we hadn’t left yet. Good location to explore the island. Well equipped kitchen for whatever your cooking needs sans an oven. Close to Sami for restaurants, shopping, ferry, & Antisamos. Local tavernas good with lovely staff as well. "
"As soon as I arrived they knew my name. They take great pride in their apartments and it shows. The room was spotless and the pictures don't do them justice when it comes to the overall look and feel. The breakfast was also very good value for money and the restaurant by the pool was a lovely quiet spot in the morning to enjoy it.
I would recommend this place to anyone and would happily stay again in a heartbeat. A real gem. "

"We had a wonderful 3 night stay, in July, at this magical B&B. The property boasts the most incredible view overlooking the bays of Fidkado and onto the Island Ithaki. Maira and her team go above and beyond to make your stay a truly memorable experience. The attention to detail and clear instructions are very helpful. Very well managed, Rosana is there for anything you need from booking excursions to taxi’s etc, she also owns a restaurant down in Sami be sure to check it out for brunches & evening cocktails! Maria is the daily maintenance lady & she is lovely too very good at keeping the place in order and always made us laugh.

"We were a happily surprised by our stay as the property is much better in person than in the photos. The owner, Stavros, is an incredible host and takes great pride in providing the best experience possible in every way. The common space is a huge, shaded patio with gorgeous plants and comfortable seating overlooking the charming port town. Location is fantastic and a short walk to many restaurants, etc. The bed was super comfortable (unlike so many we’ve experienced in Greece).

"We loved our stay at Penelope Villas, the villa was very well kept, spacious, modern, well equipped and in a great location. With just 4 villas it was quiet, but literally a 5 minute drive from Sami main promenade with a great selection of restaurants and shops. The only issue was the air con wasn’t working properly but the owners were very quick to get it fixed. "Hotel room was lovely and clean and service. Overall good ! If only pick at the safety of our room for children in the mezzanine room. The stairs had rope as decoration but not secure enough to use as a handrail and upstairs where the children’s room the window didn’t lock !!
