I recently retired and have traveled extensively for work and pleasure. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It started at check-in and only got worse. I asked for a room on the same floor as the people I was traveling with and was told "this is it, take it or leave it". When I entered my room, which never cooled down the entire stay, I found a bucket with a plunger in the bathroom. Not a good sign. Then I found the previous guest's dirty towels hanging on the hook. This made me think that perhaps the maid had only made the bed and never actually changed the sheets. When I asked about getting more towels, I was told I had to request maid service it was not actually done each day. Then I asked for more toilet paper and was told I would have to get it at the front desk. I was never offered to have this brought to my room. There is no valet service. Each time you come in and out of the parking lot, you have to pay. What a scam. The good news is I have options the next time I visit San Antonio. La Quinta will not be one of them. The worst stay and hotel I have ever visited. You might take Customer Service notes from Disney and Chic-Fil-A.
