"I had read very mixed reviews of this hotel, so I was pretty leery. The hotel is a little run down, maybe in the aftermath of the 2017 hurricane? But we were very happy with it overall. The highlight for us was the balcony overlooking the lagoon, and the location. The room was large and had everything we needed, including frig, microwave, TV, and coffee maker. The continental breakfast was fine, served on a terrace overlooking the lagoon. We were able to catch a bus nearby to Old San Juan (and probably to many other destinations in the area.) The Hilton, next door, had numerous expensive restaurants, but we didn’t visit them. There’s a good and reasonably priced pizza restaurant about a block from the hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. My only suggestion might be to bring along a flat sheet, as the beds don’t include one. If you’re looking for a fancy resort type hotel, you may not like this one. But it’s a reasonably priced option in a good location. Obviously, I can only comment on the condition of our own room, but we were perfectly happy with it. "

"Nice, welcoming staff. Hotel was a good location, nice pool and plenty of dining options on site. Free bike rental was also a nice perk to get to and from old San Juan "

"I had an ocean view, but I was actually overlooking a roof on the property. Beware of all the hidden costs-resort fees are over $100/day. I wanted to check in an hour early it was $150 fee. If you buy anything from the bistro or the lower level store it will be three times the expense. The area is not the best, I spent alot of money ubering to the condado area, much nicer over there and the hotels have casinos and better amenities. All in all puert rico and the people are amazing."
