"Lovely property. You need a car if going to old Matera. Grocery store close by. Pretty grounds and great pool (although like most Italian pools, not heated.) we found easy parking lots near the historic area so it is ok. The photos are deceiving because the spa whirlpool tub is not included - you have to pay 100 euro per couple to use those amenities. That should be made clear in the listing or they shouldn't show the photos. " Cave" hotel room is fun but only a window at door and in bathroom....

"We had an excellent stay here. The family (owners) are both warm and friendly, and the views are amazing. The room and bath are both spacious with a screened window for fresh air. "Very nice room in a quiet, beautiful part of the countryside. Friendly host. Lots of sweet dogs on the property. Many need a bath and a little medical care, in my opinion, but they were a joy to see whenever we came and went. The wifi did not work in our room at all. Dining in the area is limited, but we did find a nice place for pizza nearby."
