"The staff was so welcoming from the time we arrived. The hotel property is beautiful. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Florence but they also have a shuttle. I’m a walker so I preferred to walk but it does have hills. The breakfast was so delicious I miss it. They have free parking which was important to us because we were renting a car to drive to Tuscany area."

"The building doesn’t look like it has had any money spent on it since the 1980’s.Very shabby hotel, shame on the owners, it could be fab. Had holes in sheets and towels. No duvet it’s a 1950’s style blanket between sheets. Not hygienic these days. Dirt and dust everywhere. Cushions with stains on. One pillow each. Dining chairs in the breakfast room all broken. "Perfect location for exploring Florence. 1mile from the train station (20 min walk). Overlooking the river. Clean. Staff friendly. Good selection of food at breakfast. A lovely terrace to sit on and watch the world go by. Free tea/coffee/water provided throughout the day. Would definitely recommend others to stay at the Hotel Silla! "

The bed was a hard memory foam, we didn't care too much but it's good to know if you like a plush bed. "Fabulous! If I could give them ten stars I would. Our room was beautiful and immaculate; so comfortable I wanted to move in and live there. Breakfast was amazing; a feast for the eyes as well as the palatte. What really stood out was the staff. Every person from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly, kind, and helpful in every way. I want to say we were treated like royalty, but it's more accurate to say we were treated like family. If I ever make it to Florence again I will...

"Great hotel, well placed for sightseeing in Florence. We had a suite which was lovely. Breakfast was well presented and had a wide range of items. Staff were very attentive. There was a roof top bar, frequented by non resident patrons, you had to book to use it, even though notice said you did not. "

"Although in a great location very near to the main City attractions, the hotel is quite tiring to get in and out of. The check-in desk is up many flights of inside steps from the street, and although there is a tiny elevator is too is up two flights of steps, and can take 3 suitcases or one person and two suitcases. The breakfast room is small but has nice homemade foods but coffee was not available through the day. "
