We stayed in a family apartment. It had everything we needed, including a kitchen and fridge. It had amazing views, pool was incredible, comfortable beds, and 3 min walk to San Quirico. Just fantastic.

Plus... Location, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff, great pool area, lovely looking lobby, nice areas for small groups, good parking and within easy walking distance of San Quirico d'Orcia Minus... Dogs barking next door all night, poor WiFi connection in the end room where I was. Two single beds put together meant a ridge down the middle! Expensive breakfast (15€) for what it was.

The toilet set broke, the thing that held towels broke, and the closet around the kitchen broke. I sent a huge deal. Also it would have been nice if the room was cleaned and towels were changed regularly.

We LOVED our stay at Casanova. The property is a picturesque Tuscan style architecture with very well kept grounds. The view of the Tuscan hillside alone is worth it. The pool area was wonderful! (note they make you swim in a swim cap - would’ve been nice to have this information in our itinerary so we could've come prepared.) You can buy them onsite for 3.50 euro. We stayed in the apartments and they were spacious and the bathrooms look recently updated, they were very nice. I will say the sofa was very old (I think it’s supposed to look traditional) and smelled strongly of cleaning solution, but it was fine as we mainly used the room to sleep. The restaurant on site is excellent, definitely try it. The staff were always so courteous and helpful. The location is wonderful, so close to Pienza and near many other famous towns to do the typical Val d’Orcia Loop by car. The hotel is located only a 5 minute walk from San Quirico which was so convenient. This is a fantastic property and we definitely will be coming back!
