"Pensione Sorriso was a great place to stay during our trip to Cinque Terre! First, it was easy to get to from the train station, a short walk and without a terrible amount of steps (although you do have to climb steps to enter the hotel and then again to your room - no elevator! ) The room was very small, which I believe is typical in these small towns, just a bed and a night table and small wall closet. We didn't mind as we were not spending a lot of time in the room. The bathroom was small as...
"The area is amazing. The place was large enough for the five of us, two parents traveling with three teenagers. The air-conditioning worked great.
The only thing I did not like was the swimming in Vernazza…. Kind of murky and smelly. But, the apartment is awesome.

"This lovely little gem is well located in Vernazza on the Cinque Terre trail. The finishes were newer and clean and the place was very well appointed with a comfy bed, small kitchen and a spacious bath/vanity area. I would highly recommend staying here!
Things to note so as to help set expectations:
-this property is literally on the trail yet the front door is tucked behind an outer entry door so it’s very private.
- like most places in Vernazza there is no view to the outside. Your...
"Charming studio apartment located right off the main street in Vernazza.
Clean, roomy and conveniently located to food, the train stations and trails to Corniglia and Monterosso.
Only one downside...the stairs are numerous, steep and uneven. You might have difficulties if you have a lot of luggage or have trouble with stairs."
"Beautiful serene location. Magnificent view. Very attentive , pleasant staff. Be prepared to hike to Vernazza, otherwise taxi or bus shuttle unless you have your own vehicle. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for tranquility and peace outside of Vernazza proper"
"The property is very central in Vernazza and whilst the room is small the facilities were good and very practical. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here."
"Great location next the downtown area of Vernazza but off the street and minimal walking to access the accommodation. The stairs down from the loft bedroom is steep in case you have mobility issues. The sofa bed is within comfortability expectations. They very generously provided a welcome bottle of proseco and the studio had coffee and tea, pastries and biscuits. Perfect for our one night stay. "We had a major problem checking in due to a variety of circumstances and missed our first night there. People need to know that this apartment is booked through a rental agency. It’s also good to know that there a a number of steps to reach the apartment. Otherwise, a great place to stay in Vernazza!"
"Property is perfectly located near the beach, shopping and eating. Easy train ride to other towns. Make sure you understand the parking situation if you drive!! "
"The apartment is perfectly located in the heart of Vernazza. It’s close to the water. There are some steps to climb, but not too much compared to a lot of the properties here, and it’s inevitable anyway. Pack a backpack ideally or a light suitcase that you can manage up and down a few set of stairs. Inside is very clean. It was ready before check in time. Good information. 2 beds in separate rooms. The double bed in the bedroom would need a new mattress, but it’s the only detail. The shower is...
"The owners have been in business for many years and it shows. What phenomenal hospitalilty. Thank you for your service, your kindness, and for making us feel so welcome. Your gift to me and my wife will never be forgotten. We will bring our family the next time we visit Cinque Terre and will make our reservation directly with you in the future. We are so grateful. "
"Wonderful location with views.
Perfect for a couple. Small but quaint and the view of the harbour cannot be beaten. Found this convenient to the village and would definitely use as a base again for Cinque Terre.
There are a number of stairs which you should be aware of if that is a problem for you but otherwise we enjoyed. Bathroom is very small like others have commented and water does get on floor but we didn’t mind as the pros definitely outweighed the cons. Would definitely stay in this...
"A short walk from the Monterosso train station up Via Roma. The owner and host Andrea is absolutely eager to help us with anything with the stay. He even provided a PDF file with links to local eateries with discounts, hiking trails between the five towns etc. there is a laundry, grocery market and nice breakfast restaurant very close to the hotel. The room itself was just ok since we are in a small old town. "
