"It’s a Motel 6. One of the better ones in the area. Nice pool area and view from the second floor. Plenty of parking and the A/C is very strong. Room was pretty clean but the little room with the shower and toilet could use a coat of paint and a replacement tub. Short walk to a grocery store, pharmacy and a few restaurants/shops. Overall one of the better Motel 6s I’ve stayed at. Staff could be a little more polite but they’re not the worst. "

"Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was very helpful. Good access to hot shower. Footstep noise from room above was bothersome at 5:30am. Would go for top floor next time."

"I've been coming to the Cliff House Inn for probably 30+ years. I've watched it change over the years from being a motel to being an Inn. The staff, the cleanliness, the wonderful breakfasts are always a 10. What is NOT a 10 is the price, that seems to have doubled over the past year or so. Instead of staying 4 nights, we stayed 2. It's still a unique place that is a treasure. Karen"

"The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the ocean side of building so freeway noise was very noticeable. The room was advertised as having a balcony. Don’t bother. It was an enclosed “nook” but hardly usable. The breakfast was good."

"I'm giving this place five stars because for the price it was fine, it is however a really cheap surfer or worker motel. Good water pressure for shower. I assumed the bed would be really squeaky and uncomfortable as I pulled up to the place but it actually wasn't bad. There was a really overwhelming smell of fabuloso in the room which will keepe from ever coming here again. 5 stars for the price is being a bit generous. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff members were so friendly and helpful, allowing an early check-in and always being there, ready to help with tips and recommendations. Breakfast was nice and the free wine and cheese in the early evening was such a pleasant treat. I felt so relaxed whenever I was in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again."

"The property was pretty. However it was not as expected. My husband also got food poisoning on the first day we arrived. Had in room dining and dinner at the Ollevilla, after that he ended up back in the room in the bathroom all night. It was our anniversary and it was a horrible experience."

"Super clean and comfortable, modern with Santa Barbara style! Good coffee all day and a decent small breakfast assortment in the morning. The location can't be beat, it's about a block to the harbor and a super short walk to the pier or State St for shopping and about any restaurant that could want. We will most certainly stay here when we come back to Santa Barbara!"
