"Clean room, nice staff, good price"

"The property & room were great. Only problem is I booked through Expedia; I booked for 2 nights but could only make the 2nd night. I was fine with paying for the first night I didn't use because I was outside the cancellation window. But when I called (which took 3 tries to get past the unhelpful IVR systems... really, the automated system sucks) to tell them I wouldn't be there to check in the first night but to keep my reservation for the 2nd, they said, "Well, what's your Santa Ana itinerary number?" Well, I didn't get a Santa Ana #, just an Expedia #. They said I'd lose my 2nd night because I'd be considered a no-call/no-show. I'm like, "But I'm calling you now!" Nope, said to call Expedia. Well, Expedia was useless. So, I ended up driving 11 miles to check in for a room I didn't even need for the night just so I wouldn't lose - and pay! - for the 2nd night. Santa Ana must get tons of 3rd-party reservations, they should really try to coordinate better. That said, the room & property were great."

"Beautiful place. They did keep messing up as they couldn't access the Hotels.com payment, so we had to pay a second time. We spoke to both folks at hotels.com and the hotel's manage, and we're hoping to get one of those payments back."

"Checked into room and there was no shower head so front desk changed our room. The hallway towards our room smelled like sewage and when we opened the door to our room we noticed it was coming from our room. We walked into the room and saw what looked to be a roach. My spouse stepped on it and it was indeed a roach. We had bought room spray for the smell and checked the entire room for any more insects. The smell subsided and no signs of any insects. Also, the people above us kept us up throughout the night with loud stomping and seemed like pacing around in their room. We've stayed at this establishment many times and this is the first time we had any type of problem. After this experience we'll no longer be staying here in the future. "
