Hotel Kundalini
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time on the beach in Montanita staying at the Kundalini. The grounds were lovely. We especially liked the private shady beach area, where you could order drinks from the bar and where your stuff would be safe while you played in the surf. The breakfasts were nice. The shower was hot. The AC worked. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Free coffee in the lobby before the restaurant opened for breakfast. We loved sleeping with the door to the balcony open and hearing the surf all night. There is an (I guess) nicer hotel on the beach a bit closer to the town, but I would not want to stay there because there is a club in town that pounds music very loudly all night and into the next day, and I am sure it can be a problem for some people trying to sleep or enjoy the sound of the ocean. Kundalini is just far enough away to not hear the pounding. And it's not like Kundalini is not nice. It is very nice. And still close to town, a short walk down the beach. Two small quibbles: There is no dresser drawers or closet, any least in the junior suite, so one has to live out of one's suitcase, which is not my favorite thing, though there is a counter for the suitcases. And, there were some straws and lime slices from someone's drinks the day before on the ground near our lounges in the private beach area on our first day there, which was not so pleasant to have to walk through and see. But otherwise the grounds were immaculate."

"No esta ubicado cerca del centro de Montañita (que era lo que yo estaba buscando porque queria estar lejos del ruido) La calle en donde esta ubicado esta en buen estado por lo que pudimos caminar durante el dia hasta el centro de Montañita Cerca de Olon, por lo que pudimos ir a pasar el dia a esta playa. El personal fue muy amable y atento. Hotel Pet friendly por lo que puede ir con mi perrita Molly. Tienes cocina comunal equipada. La unica mejora a considerar puede ser el espacio del parqueo que si el hotel esta lleno tienen que organizar mover los carros en caso de que alguno este obstaculizando la salida de otro. Recomendado."

"I was pleased with the cleanliness and the free buffet breakfast. The staff is pleasant and professional. I had a good experience during my stay. They have a new policy of charging $20 for your pet staying in your room. Just be aware and make accommodations in advance."

"Nice relaxing place. No waterview really unless you are in a specific place on the property. But other than that, the place was nice, the staff helpfull. Need a car to go to the beach or in town."
Hostería Punta Blanca

"This was a beautiful property to stay at for my wife's birthday! And it was my baby's first time at a real pool too - which was very clean and relaxing. The room was also clean and the bed was sooooo comfortable. I was really impressed by how helpful the staff were, it's been a very long time since I have experienced staff carrying luggage to our rooms for us. They also brought in a crib and set it up for us too. Food can be bought onsite, as well as receiving a nice breakfast. There's a whole cabinet of necessary supplies in the reception area should you forget something important, or just not feel like bringing a lot of stuff. A very memorable and relaxing time, and we took so many lovely pictures by the pool waterfall which they turned on just for us. Oh, and this was something I really enjoyed that others might not but, there were a few large frogs surrounding the pool, which gave it a more natural yet clean feel."

"Not fancy but good value safe neighborhood very nice people clean pool is nice breakfast is simple If you’re on the trip of a lifetime probably spend more money but for a simple clean quiet place in a neighborhood that was quiet seemed very safe this is good of By the way no elevator but that seems to be pretty common"
