"The property was very well maintained and the staff was very good
If I have one complaint the room was very small and cramped. We were there for just overnight which was fine. If we were there for a week it wouldn't work."

"This property was good for visiting Alfama and the nearby shopping. Both the staff members in the lobby were super helpful with giving directions!
Breakfast was good. The only downside I can think of is the restaurant/bar closed a bit early and could use a few more options for snacks or dinner. I had the veggie gyoza and liked them but it was the only thing that appealed to me at all. Overall a great stay and I would stay again!"

"Clean and nicely refurbished. Great location! Hidden between 2 restaurants. Not easy to find. Uber driver could not find it. Hired a Turk Tuk driver and he was only able to locate the hotel by asking for help."

"We chose Solar do Castelo because of its unique location and luxury reputation, but unfortunately it didn’t quite meet our expectations.
The location is fantastic, and the outdoor courtyard is beautiful. Breakfast was also very good.
However, the hotel itself didn’t feel particularly luxurious. The beds weren’t very comfortable, the walls were quite thin (we could hear our neighbours talking and using the shower), and the elevator consistently had an unpleasant smell.
