"Other than our server at breakfast, staff was helpful and friendly. We had a lovely partial ocean view and the room was in pristine condition with contemporary decor. we were in town to help my son move so we did not have time to use any of the amenities. We parked at his place as the hotel only offered valet parking at a high daily fee. Location was great and walkable. Lots of great restaurants close by. We did eat one breakfast at the hotel and although the food was good, the service was terrible. It wasn’t very busy and our server never came back to our terrible to check in on us or to fill our water or coffee. He did add a 20% tip and an additional 5% service charge. So many better breakfast places nearby including Urth Cafe that we really enjoyed and sat on the back patio."

"Amazing location, 1 block from the beach 2 blocks from the Santa Monica pier and just a block or 2 from the Main Street shopping promenade. Bike rentals around the corner for $20/day. 10 min bike ride to Venice beach. The facilities were very clean and the staff were friendly and seemed invested in their jobs —rare to see nowadays. It was a great stay!"

"Great location for the beach and pier and downtown Santa Monica. The beach package of towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrella was great, we had so much fun playing in the waves. Pool was lovely, only gripe was that the lounge chairs are situated too close the the pool, which meant we got a lot of side eye and tutting when the kids splashed whilst swimming. Room was clean and plenty big enough for a family of 4. Our room overlooked the main street and there was some noise but on the whole it wasn't too bad. The rooms would benefit from hot drink facilities in the room, we don't drink coffee, we had our own tea bags but had no way to make in the room. We didn't eat at the restaurant as our kids are too fussy for the menu that was available but can 100% recommend Dogtown Coffee which is a couple of blocks over. Also didn't use the valet parking due to the cost, but we were able to park at the civic hall which is only a 5min walk and very secure. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful."
