We visited Santorini for 1 week and stayed at Santa Elena Hotel after reading a few good reviews - and we were not dissappointed! Sophia, the owner of the hotel was super nice and helped with anything we needed. She upgraded our room after 2 night. The breakfast was wonderful and the rest of the staff was also really friendy! The hotel is located only 5 minutes from the beach but also has a pool and the local open air cinema as well as bus conection is just around the corner. We can definitely recommend staying at Santa Elena!

The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the beach, bars, restaurant and bus station to Fira. The rooms, reception and pool area were all very clean. The breakfast provided was quite fresh and good as well. Most importantly, the hosts Yiannis and Sofia were very helpful and friendly hosts. They made us feel at home in Kamari, provides excellent suggestions on where to go/eat, and were consistently ready to help us solve any issue. For example, when we wanted to hire an ATV, Yiannis helpfully called both the night before and day of to confirm a hire for us. Thank you to everyone (Yiannis, Sofia, Maria) at Santa Elena, we hope to come back soon!

Great Hotel and Manager

What a nice surprise is this hotel. No far from the beach, just 10 or 15 min walking. Its not do fancy or mordern, but highly clean, the room its large, the shower could be bigger but its ok. Nice breakfast. The manager Sofia is amazing. Great person and super helpfull in snything you need to dtsy in Santorini. Yannes also in the reception is super friendly, they also speak english and perfect italian

Fint och mysigt hotell. Härlig pool! Gångavstånd till Buss (In till Fira), Strand och Restauranger. Personalen (ex. Sofia) var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Kan starkt rekommenderas!

L’hotel è davvero carino, pulito e l’accoglienza di Sofia e suo fratello è semplicemente eccellente. Parlano anche perfettamente italiano e bene inglese e francese. This is THE hotel to stay in if you’re visiting Santorini. The staff give you around the clock care and cater for your every need. They offer suggestions of what to do, places to go, the best things to do on the island, they book excursions for you if requested. They go above and beyond to give you an amazing experience and it’s safe to stay this is the most welcoming, homely and amazing hotel I’ve ever stayed in. 5 stars from me definitely will be back !

Prima pela simpatia, atenção e localização.

Estadia ótima! Sofia, a recepcionista era muito simpática e atenciosa, estava sempre atenta a todos os pormenores e empenhada em que nada faltasse. O sítio era confortável, calmo, com paragens de autocarro próximas e serviço de trazer/levar de/para o aeroporto. Bom pequeno almoço, completo e também com opções tradicionais gregas. Recomendo!!

Convenient home away from home

Great hotel for a short break, especially if you have a rental car as you can quickly drive to the beach, restaurants and the main sites in the island. Everyone made me feel very welcome and even got a better room than booked as there was availability. The only 2 things I would comment on is that the shower is quite small and the curtains should be a bit darker as in the morning the room gets quite bright, but overall good value for money in Santorini.

Very friendly little hotel

We loved our stay at Santa Elena. This small, family-run hotel is very pretty, with lots of flowers and a great swimming pool. Sophia and her brother were so friendly and welcoming, and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. They booked excursions for us and arranged car hire. The hotel was extremely clean, we had a great view of the pool from our balcony and the room had everything we needed, including aircon, a small fridge and a hairdryer. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the front but we didn’t mind this. Overall, a fantastic stay. Thank you

Excellent Hotel

Me and my friend Michelle stayed here for a week july 14, would defo stay here again. On the out skirts of Kamari but everything what you want within a 10 to 15 min walk. Excellent and friendly staff thanks for putting up with us lol!!! Sophia and her staff were so lovely and very helpful. We had a room over looking the pool the views were amazing, as were the lovely gardens. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very Pleasant, Would Recommend

I stayed for four nights at Santa Elena Sofia, owner of the hotel, contacted me two days prior to my arrival, to ask whether I needed transport to hotel from the airport. This cost 20 euros and the journey took around 15 minutes. The alternative is the take a bus to Fira, and then take another bus from the same stop, to Kamari, where the hotel is. This will cost 1.80 per part, so 3.60 in total, and is what I did on the day of my flight back home. Sofia, and her brother Yannis, speak sound English, and were happy to help me with organizing my daily activities. By the reception is a timetable for the buses to Fira, the airport etc, and information of quadbike rentals. Sofia also has a number of different brochures and leaflets on tours, such as of the Caldera, which I high recommend you visit. My room was on the second floor, with a balcony and a view of the front garden and pool. It was very well maintained, I could not fault it. The front garden is full a sub-tropical plants, trees, and flowers, and the pool is of a good size and surrounded by plenty of seating. The continental breakfast includes mixed fruit, melon, a number of confectionaries, boiled eggs, ham, etc, basically a healthy selection, and eating outside made the experience even better. Finally, the town, Kamari, has a very nice black-sand beach, with numerous (40+) restaurants, cafes, bars, along it. To one side, there is also a high cliff, where old Thira is. All in all, a great experience!

Nice hotel 10 min from beach

Nice place with helpfull owner. We stayed only one night but they were happy to help us with everything we needed. Hotel is about 10-15 min walk from the main beach, if you can't be bothered walking you can always rent a quad or a car to drive around. Hotel has a nice and clean pool also if you decide to stay in for the day. Breakfast is ok, nothing extraordinary but freshly prepared and good for the price. Personally I would prefer to be a bit closer to the beach but otherwise I would definitely recommend Santa Elena.

Very nice quiet hotel / Aparhotel

Great stay at Santa Elena. Wonderfully quiet hotel, or maybe an Aparthotel, Yannis and Sophia are really good hosts - the only reason I say it could be an Aparthotel, is there is no hotel bar or restaurant. Not a massive issue as the town is only a 10 minute walk away, but sometimes it;s nice to have one for the road at a bar on site, or even a drink of something when you're around the pool - it is a great pool though. Continental breakfast is very good, with a great choice of the usual fare. Not right in the heart of Kamari, but as stated it's literally an easy 10/12 minute stroll back. All in all a great stay at Santa Elena, and the staff cannot be faulted at all, so nice.

O hotel fica muito bem localizado! Na praia de Kamari... então da pra curtir praia. Fica há alguns minutos de distância de Thira e a meia hora de Oia. Mas pra quem quer ficar pouco e vai curtir esses lugares uma vez só vale a pena. Gostei da praia. Inclusive tem um restaurante ótimo que tbm serve nas barracas. O hotel é simples... nada luxuoso mas para quem vai usar para dormir e descansar está ótimo. O Jannis que é o gerente é ótimo! Muito simpático... nos ajudou muito. Sempre disposto. Foi o melhor do hotel!!
