"The hotel is located in the Bairro Alto district. It is a picturesque and vibrant neighborhood, easy walking distance to the central shopping district, but much less crowded. The hotel is set in a beautifully renovated 19th century building. The service is wonderful; the staff is professional, but very warm and helpful. This is now my hotel of choice in Lisbon. "

"Great location in old town which is shabby-chic area. Yes, there are a lot of outdoor stairs to the suites but it’s a great way to keep up with your exercise! Lisbon itself is full of hills so be aware of this before going :) The staff at Castello are super nice & helpful. We loved our suite - very clean, bed was comfortable, so nice to be able to eat in when you want in the comfort of your pjs ;) Breakfast was included and was plentiful. The on site restaurant and bar were very good as was the breakfast buffet. The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants nearby as well.
