"The unique atmosphere of living in the really old, authentic monastery-like place, but with the best smell ever, modern bathrooms, most comfortable bed and crispiest bedding I’ve ever had among multiple hotels on my very long trip around several countries. It’s on the big plaza, close to main cathedral (if you don’t mind bells), fort, now military museum, waterfront, small eating places, and might be important to those who want to rent a car, it is right next door to it. Breakfast is more than adequate, comfortable common area with couches, chairs, fireplace (can’t guarantee not for decor only), but overall the place has a feeling of boutique house, not real hotel. Only 5 rooms, 2 upstairs with no elevator though, and have to check in online with the approximate time of arrival, as the front door is locked and stuff member is not always inside to open as there’s no so-to-speak front desk. That’s the only inconvenience imho, but adds to the feeling of the real home. Very-very impressed and would highly recommend for certain type of tourists who don’t like big chain hotels."

Bar and restaurant on site is great if you don’t want to venture out. Have stayed here many times and will always come back. "
