Reasonable option
This is about the only option for reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable lodging in Sao Tome. The location is not ideal for walking and the rooms are bare boned. Be sure to organize breakfast plans in advance. It looks like a buffet, but it’s only for those who have reserved it. All in all it’s not a bad choice for those who don’t want to pay resort prices.

I didn't meet the owners but the staff were always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay for business and would definitely consider staying here again. It would have been very helpful if the hotel information sheet in the rooms had informtaion about when the reception was open, details about the power availability during the day (none if the public power fails) and the reception itself had this and accurate information about the hotel wifi stuck on the window for when it's closed!

Perfect place to stay when exploring São Tomé. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is tucked away down a quiet lane right in the heart of São Tomé. Only negative is that the walls are quite thin between rooms. Highly recommended.

Good location close to walking downtown very reasonably priced staff was very accommodating good value for money you should also know that Sao Tome is very safe but be careful walking around town because the town goes dark at night with little street lights and there are many holes in the sidewalks

Very helpful staff, convenient location
Bemilton was excellent in advising us on our options of what to do and where to go. The guest house is very convenient for getting into the main town. This is a great base for exploring the island. Bemilton’s English is very good and he was always cheerful and enthusiastic about Sao Tome. The self catering option is good (and well equipped)

Excellent Value
Nice, clean spot for rest. We had a slight issue accessing the property to check in after midnight, and would have appreciated more communication on added costs like breakfast and a third person since we reserved a room for three people. Otherwise, it was an excellent value. Having stayed at an older hotel in town for three times the cost, we were thrilled with this find!

The best place you will find in São Tomé city
This is a unique guesthouse, where the typical traveller seeking to explore São Tomé by himself will have a great staff looking forward to help you on getting the real local experience. I was also very happy to be offered the possibility to take a shower by the end of the day even when I had already checked out. I had a flight later that day back home so it was a very nice detail

Feels like Home
Apart from the great location and the good rates, Edner, Aurea and the team do a great job at helping travelers to Sao Tome & Principe find their way around. For me, this included helping me find a good deal on a rental car, recommending and even accompanying a group of us to a great local restaurant (5entidos) and helping me contact the airport when all the local STP flights were canceled. The atmosphere is friendly, familial and cosy.

Mit Liebe zum Detail ist diese Unterkunft genau das Richtige, um direkt nach der Ladung (Shuttleservice) oder eben vor Abflug durchzuatmen und sich zu orientieren. Obwohl man ein Frühstück buchen kann, wurde auch an eine vollständig ausgestattete Gästeküche. Beim Bett (Kissen und Matratze) ist leider doch ein wenig Luft nach oben. Dennoch absolute Weiterempfehlung

För en gångs skull var ett hotell trevligare än det såg ut på bilderna. Jättetrevlig personal, allt funkade klockrent. Rummen var rena och det var aldrig något strul med något.

Espaço limpo e acolhedor
Esta guesthouse tem todas as comodidades desejadas de um hotel. Tem quartos com wc privativa e outros com wc partilhada, mas apesar de partilhadas são muito limpas. O espaço comum é acolhedor com sofá e tv. A cozinha é partilhada por todos, encontra-se limpa e arrumada. Ha a possibilidade de servirem um bom pequeno almoço por 5€. Voltaria a ficar aqui. Recomendo sem duvida!

Hôtel simple et propre
Le lieu est joli avec de belles vieilles portes et un magnifique parquet d'époque. La chambre est sombre, simple, sans effort de déco, sans vue, mais très propre. Pour la chambre avec salle de bains privée, la salle de bains n'est pas attenante (elle est en face de la chambre). Pas particulièrement jolie mais très propre. Le quartier est calme. Il y a une jolie terrasse sur le toit et une cuisine commune que les clients peuvent utiliser. Le wifi fonctionne parfaitement. Un peu cher pour ce que c'est mais comme tout à Sao Tomé. Je recommande.
