"Excellent stay! We enjoyed 7 nights at this hotel. The superieur room was big & well equiped with an amazing balcony & view on Cusco. Staff very friendly & always ready to help, they can even pack you a lunch box if you request one for an early tour you got. Breakfast on site is not extensive but got the essential & fresh! It is located 4 min walk from the main square : Plaza De Armes and everything is close by, just gotta get your steps & adapt to high altitude. Highly recommend !!"

"The staff are very friendly. The view was amazing. The smell is just too strong though and even the washrooms are.. Just uphill walking though and it’s a bit tough to walk back. However, if you’re fit, it shouldn’t be an issue :) Overall, it’s a good place to stay for couple days."

"Everything was great. Only complaint was cold shower in the morning. Staff was very helpful with recommendations, with tacos, friendly, breakfast was great with several options and including fresh local fruit that was perfectly ripe. Missing it already. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the main square, no issues walking in the evening around the area. Lots of shops and restaurants around."

"Loved my stay here at Casa Cartagena in Cusco. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great, and the amenities such as the spa was wonderful, especially after hiking Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. The welcome tea and chocolates with free water was also a nice gesture. Bartender was also very friendly and gave me and my friends a personal pisco making lesson. Location was good, walking distance to Plaza de Armas. Would highly recommend 10/10!"

"This was such a beautiful, lovely stay. The hotel was charming, quaint, and filled with heart-ful humans. There was an unbelievable view over all of Cusco and it was just a short 7 minute walk down to the main plaza. Keep in mind, this hotel was at the top of a hill! So at the end of the night, you will always have to make your way up some pretty steep streets -- but that's Cusco for you! The food in the restaurant of the hotel was sooooo amazing and delicious. I really couldn't recommend this...

"The rooms were great. Breakfast was great. Location is amazing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the night staff was not very attentive during my stay. The doors to the hotel lock around 10-11pm and if I arrived after that time I would have to ring the bell many times and wait 5-10 min for staff to open the door. Other than that, staff were very kind and they will keep your bags for you while you go to MachuPicchu!"
