"I had a very good stay at Swissôtel Makkah. I stayed for a solo trip, and overall it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
The hotel is in a great location, and the breakfast was particularly good, with a good variety of options. I was also impressed with the lifts — even though the hotel was busy, they were surprisingly fast and I never had to wait too long.
One thing that really stood out was the helpfulness of the concierge team. On Friday, with the Pakistani and Turkish Prime Ministers visiting and my flight from Jeddah at 4pm after Jumu’ah, I was concerned about the traffic and road restrictions and whether I would make it to the airport on time. The concierge reassured me that they would help arrange a local taxi and make sure I got to the airport on time.
Thankfully, I already had my own taxi arranged, and the driver had the required permit to use the special routes, so we were able to get through the traffic and make it to Jeddah on time. I really appreciated the concierge taking the time to reassure me and offer their help.
The only downsides were that the prayer room was quite far, and the view of the Haram from the prayer room wasn’t as impressive as the one I experienced at the Fairmont Makkah Clock Royal Tower.
Overall, it was a very good experience. Great location, excellent breakfast, fast lifts and helpful staff. I would definitely consider staying at Swissôtel Makkah again."
