"The breakfast was really good. Main problem was that my mattress needed to be replaced a long time ago. Had lots of visible dents on it and woke up with a backache. Main areas were very nice. Room was tired."

"The hotel was in a great location. The rooms need to be redone. Chipping paint and scuff marks on the wall. One window was cracked and covered in electrical tape. The breakfast was dreadful. The potatoes were cold, the pastries had no taste and the selection was poor. The regular coffee was served in carafes and were always empty. When I asked the staff to refill it, they looked at me like I asked them to do 100 sit-ups. The front desk people were courteous and were able to help me with my reservations."

"We booked the most costly classification of room, which was the city view, our view was of the back side of another building and a parking lot from the first floor. The reception attendant assured me that those were indeed the “ city view rooms”, I assumed that the advertising was just faulty, however, my sister booked a castle view room, which is $100 cheaper, she had a great view and her room was almost twice the size of ours, so they actually just lied to us assuming I would not see the other rooms, otherwise our room was nice enough, i just didn’t appreciate their deception"

The Hotel Ljubljana

10/10 Excellent

"The Hotel Ljubljana was in a great location, just a 5-minutes before walk from the dragon bridge. There are only three parking spaces for this hotel and you must call front desk to reserve in advance. Cost is 30€ a day. It’s street parking close to the hotel. (You can use Easy Park to park cheaper a few blocks further away.) We stayed in the smallest room with no windows, and surprisingly, we loved it. It was the last available room on our days of stay, but when we return to Ljubljana, I would ask for this room again even if others were available. It was so cozy. The shower was great. The bed and bedding were our most comfortable of all the hotels we used in our trip. The staff gave us a welcome prosecco upon arrival and were so friendly throughout our stay. They have a great included breakfast in the restaurant. We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner there too. (FYI: There is a gelato place right outside the back door entry.) We really loved this hotel and will definitely return."
