Top Saxon Hotel Reviews

Whitecap Mountains Resort

8/10 Good

"I read some reviews and was a little apprehensive about my stay. Overall, I would say it was good though. Beds were comfortable and staff was very friendly! Water pressure in showers was awesome! The couple things they should improve #1) nobody cleaned our room for the 4 nights we were there. We had to go down and ask for fresh towels when needed. We didn't make a mess, but a clean room would have been nice to return to 2) No continental breakfast. The resort is a ways away from everything which is nice, but nowhere around to eat breakfast. The restaurant has good food but not open early. 3) the pool shuts down pretty early. We had some longer days and wanted to relax in hot tub, but was already shut down. 4) some of our group had super small TV's in their room. We didn't which was nice, but was hard to sit in bed and see some of their TV's. I would stay here again, but I'd give a checklist of what I wanted before I booked a room.....like one with bigger TV and I'd bring some breakfast items."

Lakeside Motel

10/10 Excellent

"The room was very clean. Staff was friendly."

Quality Inn Ironwood

8/10 Good

"Positives: Kwik trip next door, easy access to downtown, good location to Little Girls Point, Copper Peak, waterfalls. Overall quiet, bed was pretty soft (good thing), fridge/freezer & microwave. Negatives: Hot tub had algae, pool deck paint was chipping. Used the whirlpool in the room and water was dirty (not sure if city was flushing hydrants or the whirlpool tub jets hadn't been used for a while). Entry door toward back of building didn't close completely until you pulled it closed, which could've been a security issue. The bathroom tiles in bathroom were loose."

Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Ashland

"Clean comfortable room, decent breakfast, close to downtown."

Royal Motel

"Room was dated but very clean. Mattresses were comfortable . Only issue was room was very warm and although thermostat was off, radiators were heating up. Opened windows and still too warm to sleep well. Should of turned ac on but didn't. Owner was very helpful."
