Different types of coded locks for better security along with an easy master switch next to the bed so you don't need to get up to turn off everything. They do provide a complimentary hot beverage upon checking into the hotel as well so that's a plus! Free locker service to hold luggages before check in is an added convenient bonus as well! The location is the best because it is right next to a major train station for easy connections and...

"Very welcoming and helpful staff upon arrival and throughout our stay. Our room for 4 was perfect after a long travel day. Clean, spacious, and each kid had their own bed. The room was cool and quiet and we all slept great. Perfect location for exploring the cities major historical sites and finding great spots to eat."

"The carpets need to go. Old and not very clean. I have allergies and needless to say the entire stay my throat was flared. The staff was great and helpful. Breakfast was descent. We unfortunately had a room on the first floor which was loud. A/c was barely functional. It worked but the room was never comfortable during the heat wave. The hotel is dated, needs a bit of a lift. We ate at the restaurant on our last day and the food wasn't great, I had mushroom and chicken risotto 3 tiny squares if...

"This hotel located in Aalts is the perfect place to stay if you want a beautiful Belgium city, without crowds and right in between Brussels, Ghent and Bruges. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious, and the staff is super nice. Highly recommended and we will come back and stay at Royal Astrid!"

"The room was clean and comfortable. We had some minor issues with the room; but the staff was very responsive to our requests. This was a very unique experience with the animation theme, which we enjoyed. It was close to the train station which was helpful to us because we arrived on the Eurostar from Paris and needed to take the ICE/DB to Berlin. We walked and took the Metro to the city center every day."
