"This historic hotel is located in the heart of Appenzell and has a lovely restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is a short walk from the train station, is clean and charming and rooms have comfortable beds and bedding. The included breakfast is plentiful and delicious with good coffee :) The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating - when we had to check out very early at the end of our stay, they packed us a delicious lunch to take with us on the train the night before we left...
"The Hotel Appenzell is absolutely charming! The central location on the plaza is excellent, with a view to activities going on in town. It's conveniently right next to the Tourist Info center. The staff was cheerful and helpful. They responded promptly to requests, such as for a fan in our room.
The room was delightful. It was bigger than other rooms we stayed in in Switzerland, and it was decorated in a charming, white and gold french style, with crystal ceiling lights, and big windows...
"Wir hatten zwei gleiche Zimmer, eines war im Nebengebäude und deutlich älter und nicht so schön wie das andere Zimmer im Hauptgebäude - das hat uns nicht gefallen - zum Glück hatten meine Frau und ich das Zimmer im Nebengebäude und nicht meine Eltern.
Ansonsten: Lage ist gut, parken ist gut, Frühstück und Abendessen (separat) war sehr gut für den Preis.
Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt"
