"No A/C and it was too warm. So many steps getting to the hotel. Given a view of the street - not what I booked. Front desk isn't staffed after about 11 pm. Fire dept pounded on our door down at 11:30pm because of the steam from our shower, cold water tap didn't work, and hot water was scalding hot. There was no audible alarm, and no peep hole on door to see who was pounding on the door. Thought it was a prowler trying to get us to open the door. Would not stay there."

"The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. They also have an in room safe to store your valuables. The staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. There is also a communal coffee machine in the entrance for you to help yourself to. Highly recommended."

"The (hotel's) kettle for coffee & tea does not fit in any of the power outlets in the room. I assume this is a good way to save up a little on coffee and tea bags... It is definitely on purpose, and so disappointing to see how cheap the management is."

"We had a nice stay at Château Gütsch. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the spectacular view from the terrace, which overlooks Lucerne, the lake and the surrounding mountains. It’s the main reason to stay here and it’s truly breathtaking, especially in the evening.
