"We stayed for 2 nights in July. Anantya Serengeti was so well maintained and clean. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location, which encouraged animals to roam the grounds. The first night, we encountered two buffalos. The second night, a family of thirty over elephants walked infront of our room. The bedrooms were spaced out to give privacy.
The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, however the packed lunches were not good.
One incident marred our stay, where the rangers had set fire to the land opposite the lodge. Smoke engulfed the entire property for a few hours from dinner to midnight. This caused me an allergic reaction to the smoke, which entered the tent. The hotel staff and operations manager had to frantically ensure the fire did not spread to the hotel.
Better coordination with the rangers should be done in the future. Any fires should be done during the day when all guests are away."
"Danny is the perfect host. He took care of everything and did so much to make our stay special. With Bush side breakfast and dinner with a campfire along with a perfect sundowner, he and the staff ensured our stay was extra special.
And of course, Denis our safari game driver made sure we saw everything that one hopes to see in the Serengeti… leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, impalas… even a serval cat, along with a huge pride of lions full of cubs.
Incredibly special place and more than worth it."
"The place was very nice and the people were very helpful. The food was very good & plentiful. It was very difficult to locate. Their signage is bad, so be sure to get a good map because they are hidden away."
"Excellent stay. Mosses and the entire Melia Serengeti staff were nice, friendly, accommodating and warm. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt like home during our stay. Would recommend staying here. :)"
