"This is my second stay at this facility in recent years. The rooms are clean but for some reason the maintenance in the bathroom is poor. This time, one of the toilet seat bolts was missing so the seat wasn't very stable. The rooms are plain and provide the basics, but certainly nothing fancy about this place. The 'fridge and microwave worked fine, plenty of hot water, and as I mentioned, the rooms are clean, to include linens. I suggest the staff put protective cushions on the bed frame...

"We were pleasantly surprised that the Octopus yurt was so comfortable. What a nice way to spend the night! Our original reservation with another place did not work out, so in desperation we stayed at the Nauti Otter. It was great. Very nice for the two of us. I would recommend it."

"The complimentary muffins were absolutely delicious! The room was stylish, clean, and very comfortable. The host was kind enough to inform us early that we could check in ahead of time, which was super helpful. They also contacted me right away when I accidentally left my glasses behind. The only minor downside was that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but overall it was a great stay."

"The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again."

"Overall, it was a good stay, the hotel is over 100 years old and has some great history. I wouldn’t expect the Ritz Carlton hotel when booking it.
They definitely could maintain the property a little bit better, given the history. Their rooms were clean, definitely a musky smell which did bother my allergies, but we slept with the windows open. Aside from that the cleaning was good. The bathroom was clean, the sheets were good, but they could definitely overhaul the top blanket, it’s very old ...
