"Lovely clean hotel with great views of the moon and sunrise from our ocean view room. Parking was easy. Took us a few attempts to get into the hotel from the carpark as the door latch seem to catch a little. Room was clean and well appointed with a comfy bed. "The facilities were excellent and the host John was friendly and congenial and throughout our stay ensured we had everything we needed. He was informative about the local area and recommended things to see which was much appreciated. A bonus was we really enjoyed feeding the animals and learnt a lot about alpacas. "

"The suite was wonderful! We had a washer and dryer in our room! Trying to travel light for a month means bringing fewer clothes, and needing to do laundry more often. We really enjoyed having this amenity. Breakfast was fabulous: lots of fruit, cold, and hot choices. The reception staff, and restaurant staff, were friendly. It was easy to walk around the CBD. We would stay here again."

"Accomodation had been double booked. Instead of cancelling the booking from their end the host messaged me on trivago, since I was expecting a message anyway for the login code, and you have to login to read messages I left it. Host also alerted trivago it was double booked, who did not contact me either. Drove all the way to Dunedin with 2 kids, stranded and nowhere to stay. Spent $400 to stay at scenic circle for the first night, Dunedin was booked out for the second night so we had to drive...

"Lovely historic hotel near the city centre. Walkable but very hilly. Not suitable for those with mobility issues."

"The Spa was great. Good linen on the bed, but a bit soft for me. TV selection was abysmal. Nice wee kitchen with lovely coffee and nice biscuits. Clean, quiet, good parking and convenient to restaurants. All in all, pretty good value."

"This is a wonderful hotel but was very disappointed with the staff on check in. We arrived after 2pm, check in was 2pm, and the room wasn't ready. We sat in the foyer for almost an hour then when I approached the Duty Manager he me told the room had been ready for awhile. Clearly they hadn't noted that I was sitting in the foyer with a person in a wheelchair and approached us to say that the room was ready. Secondly in order to eat at the in-house restaurant we were made to go out in the cold...

"Well located. Easy walk to central Dunedin. Rooms look out to a courtyard with lovely trees and plants. Nice room with a well stocked kitchen. Parking was very limited and getting luggage to our room was challenging— longish walk to the elevator (outside) but the room was worth it and I would recommend staying here."
